Tattooed Eyebrows - Ladies, It Is Not A Good Look

One evening a few weeks ago during the course of conversation with my sister who lives in Iowa, I asked if she sees a lot of woman with tattooed eyebrows. She said no, but she would keep an eye out for women who felt the need for a permanent displacement of their eyebrows.  She called me back a few weeks later and reported no sightings.  She stated that although she was not blessed in the eyebrow department herself, she would not be getting tattooed arched brows that look like they were drawn with a sharpie.

It seems to be epidemic in the Texas Valley and the Mexican frontier.  I implore anyone who is thinking of doing it PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T!!!!

Ladies, it is not a good look.

Disclaimer: I took (stole) these images off the internet because I am not comfortable going up to women and asking if I can take photos of their ugly eyebrows.

  3. I see a lot of tattooed eyebrows here too and they scare me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree! Definite NO-NO. I'm sure there are some people who can pull it off in an elegant way, but the people I seem to run into look like clowns!

  5. My sister in law did this about 6 months ago. Being that this was the first time I encountered this personally with someone I knew, I felt as ease asking her embarrassing questions, like with the swelling, Will it stay that way? *poke* Are you sure they're straight/even? *panic* Does this mean you have to shave your regular cejas now? *rolls eyes*

    She looks...ok now

  6. I've seen a few tattooed eyebrows that look "OK", but I still think the natural look is best. I am missing a small bit of my eyebrow from an accident as a child. Takes me about 5 seconds a day to fill in with a eyebrow pencil. I was blessed with decent brows but both of my sisters were not. I guess to each their own, but I'd still rather see a natural brow any day.

  7. I was not blessed in the eyebrow department. Well, I was. But I got tweezer happy in the early 90's and my eyebrows never grew back. I now fill mine in with an eyebrow pencil and I always worry if this is what I look like. :P

  8. Oh, Leslie, I've seen your photos and you are beautiful. I admit I was blessed with eyebrows while my sisters were not. But I have a piece missing so I fill it in the an eyebrow pencil. And it doesn't take that long to do yours, right? Eyebrow penciling never looks like tattoos if you brush them on and not use it like a sharpie. Natural with a little pencil enhancement is fine.

  9. Oh no, I'm with you Rita. That looks ridiculous. A unibrow would look better than that mess!
